Scott Sharrard
Grammy nominated artist, SCOTT SHARRARD, is the newest member of the legendary Rock and Roll band, Little Feat, on guitar and leads vocals (since 2019).
He also spent nearly a decade as lead guitarist and bandleader to the late Gregg Allman. Their partnership included the Sharrard-penned “Love Like Kerosene,” which Allman covered on 2015’s “Gregg Allman Live: Back to Macon, GA,” and again on Allman’s eighth and final solo album, the posthumous, GRAMMY-nominated “Southern Blood” (Rounder Records, 2017).
Another “Southern Blood” track, “My Only True Friend” – co-written by Sharrard and Allman – earned a GRAMMY nomination for Americana Song of the Year.
The singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer and arranger earlier released three albums with The Chesterfields before embarking on a series of solo efforts. The Michigan natives 5th solo album, the top 10 Billboard blues charting solo effort and widely critically acclaimed “Saving Grace,” was delivered in 2018.
Scott released his 6th solo album “Rustbelt” with longtime producing partner and Grammy winning engineer, Charlie Martinez, in the Fall of 2021. His most personal album of original material to date, “Rustbelt” also features special guests Bill Payne, Dan Littleton, Catherine Russell, Charley Drayton and Amy Helm.
Little Feat recently signed with Vector Management and Scott will be touring all over the USA with the band in 2022. They also plan on making a new Little Feat studio album next year.
In addition to his work as a solo artist and with Little Feat, Scott is a passionate educator of all styles of American Roots Music. Through his online courses with Truefire and private lessons via Zoom, Scott has been hard at work finding new ways to connect with fans of guitar playing, singing and songwriting all over the world.
